Sony Looks To Snatch Up Pepsi vs. Coca-Cola Film ‘Cola Wars’ - News Reelz

Last year we saw Flamin’ Hot tell the story of the titular Cheetos product in film and this year will bring Unfrosted: The Pop-Tarts Story to the big screen. Next up in mining food and beverage products for content? The battle between Pepsi and Coca-Cola for soda/pop supremacy.

Deadline reports that Sony has attempted to place its order for the rights to make the film Cola Wars with a seven figure bid. The film would tell tell the true story of Coca-Cola’s reign as the word’s number one Cola and Pepsi’s challenge to take over.

The Cola Wars script was penned by Jason Shuman (Acapulco) and Ben Queen (Cars 2, Cars 3). What a time for product development being documented on the big screen (we see you Air and Blackberry).
