‘Loki’ Season Two, Episode Two: ‘Breaking Brad’ - Recap

The second episode of Loki starts with him and Mobious in London, 1977. They’re on the sacred timeline in search of Sylvie and Dox. Loki’s feeling a little too comfortable, meaning she likely isn’t there. They get a ping from X-5 saying he’s at a movie premier living life as a movie star named Brad Wolfe. He tries to run but Loki uses his magic and catches him quickly for an interrogation.
They arrive at the TVA and they take the Teampad they received the ping on to OB. OB is stressed with other matters like preventing a temporal meltdown, so he shoos them off with the TVA handbook. Meanwhile B-15 looks for an update regarding Renslayer, but one of the Teampads is wiped and all the data is gone, however there is info on the last message that was on it. Miss Minutes has been helping Renslayer. Loki thinks He Who Remains is aligning with Renslayer based on the recording found on the teampad. Loki and Mobius go back to Brad to find out more information about Sylvie and what he did to the Teampad.
Brad hurls some insults at Loki, who then tries to intimidate Brad but it doesn’t end up going anywhere. Möbius says he’ll send him back home if he plays along and he says that the TVA isn’t real and he has a real home on the sacred timeline he needs to wake up to. Brad ends up getting Mobius to hit him which concerns Loki. Mobius says he lost his cool and Loki asks him if he’s ever been curious about his life before the TVA and he says he thinks it was a good life and doesn’t want that to interfere with his work.
OB can’t control the loom and Loki finds a torture device that he plans to use on Brad. Brad starts to crack little by little. He says he abandoned his mission and doesn’t know where Sylvie is then finally says she has a new life somewhere. He found her before quitting his mission. Meanwhile OB says he needs Miss Minutes to help with the Loom.
Brad Loki and Mobius finally get to Sylvie and she’s working at McDonald’s. Loki tells her that he saw her in the future and needs to know why. Obviously she doesn’t buy it and she wants nothing to do with saving the TVA. Brad reveals to Mobius that they’ll die if they stay there. Sylvie enchants him and he says that Dox never was looking for Sylvie and is planning to bomb every timeline. Sylvie and Loki go to find Dox and apprehend her but it’s too late, many timelines have already been pruned leaving countless killed in the process. The three of them return to the TVA which is a wasteland now. Sylvie says the TVA is the problem and goes home as the episode ends.
